Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a Track Welder for a full-time opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with welding experience who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to the maintenance and safety of railway infrastructure.

Responsibilities
· Use stick electrodes and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques
· Utilize high frequency tools for welding tasks
· Weld and grind carbon steel and manganese track components
· Inspect completed track work and approve for service
· Maintain train operating restrictions in alignment with track standards
· Remove and replace defective ties, rail spikes, and anchors
· Correct deviations in track surface, alignment, and gauge
· Install and repair street and railroad crossings
· Assist in repairing and replacing switches and insulated joints
· Unload ballast and distribute track materials
· Sort used track material for loading
· Clear vegetation, snow, and debris from right-of-way areas
· Establish and maintain proper drainage
· Clean work areas after completion
· Follow all safety standards, operating rules, and safe work procedures
· Complete reports related to work, materials, and inspections
Qualifications
· Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
· Federal and provincial welding certification or equivalent experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
· Valid driver's license (Class 3 in Quebec or equivalent in other provinces)
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
· Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs (70 lbs occasionally)
· Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment
· Strong communication and collaboration skills
Assets
· Experience in similar working conditions
· Knowledge of rail operating rules or signals
· Mechanical experience or training
· Operator qualifications or experience
· Post-secondary trade education
