Job descriptionMinimum of 2-3 years working in a construction field / camp position. Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal) Gasfitter “B” Ticket considered an asset HVAC and / or Refrigeration experience or certification is a definite asset to the position Solid verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work a rotation schedule and a dynamic schedule. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor. Ability to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12-hour shift. Standard First Aid Certification. WHIMS Certification. Previous experience working in remote camp setting. Proficient in all aspects of plumbing repair and replacement.

Position Overview :
Tamatta Mining & Construction is recruiting for one of our esteemed clients seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals for an immediate opening as a plumber at a fly-in camp in the breathtaking region of Terrace, British Columbia. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning environment while contributing to important projects in the mining and construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing and general maintenance to gas appliances and lines
- Maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drinking water treatment and distribution system
- Practice and promote company environmental, health, safety, and operational policies and procedures
- Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor which may include duties and labour outside the trade(s)
- Work cooperatively as a member of the Team
- Ensure that safety issues are reported and promptly remedied
- Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness in all work or task-related duties
- Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company.
