About the Role:
Currently Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Payroll Clerk at our office in Lively, ON. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, the role of the Payroll Clerk is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Prepare and process payroll, including stat pay calculations and weekly adjustments
- Maintain and manage employee records in ERP systems (onboarding, ROEs, deactivations)
- Track, enter, and review employee timecards and manual time entries
- Administer employee benefits, deductions, and incentive/bonus calculations
- Review and reconcile monthly benefits invoices
- Generate and submit required reports (e.g., Service Canada, internal tracking codes)
- Monitor and manage coverall tracking and deductions
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and general administrative emails
- Support audits and ensure compliance with payroll regulations and policies
- Provide reception coverage and general administrative support as needed
- Maintain documentation and provide backup support for internal processes
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration and/or Accounting is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Data Entry
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written) is required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task while upholding attention to detail and protecting the organizations values and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to plan, organize and work with minimal supervision
