Reports To : Manager

Hours : 12 Hour Shifts – Days, Nights and Weekends

Status : General Pool, all statuses

The UHN Halo Telemonitor Program is dedicated to remotely monitoring and ensuring the safety of patients. As a member of the Telemonitoring team, the Patient Observation Technician provides continuous observation & monitoring to patients who are identified as a safety risk.

The principal responsibilities include :

• Provides continuous remote observation to an identified group of patients.
• Sets up software & equipment for remote observation.
• Receives report and documents relevant patient activity as necessary.
• Re-directs the patient via audio device as necessary.
• Works with & seeks assistance from inter-disciplinary team as required.
• Identifies & reports all safety concerns.
• Performs cross-functional and / or other duties consistent with job classification as assigned or requested.

As a member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to patients through remote communication channels. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
