Job descriptionHS / GED required; HS / GED preferred. 2-4 years of experience in a related field. No leadership duties. Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential / sensitive information. Exceptional time management and organization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients. Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and / or options. Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Operator - Converting at ProAmpac
Position responsible for operating and maintaining converting bag machinery used in manufacturing, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties
- Safely set up, operate, and monitor converting machinery to meet customer and production goals.
- Complete converting machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment.
- Monitor the production process, inspect and test materials and equipment to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas.
- Verify and track all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
- Train and provide guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
- Keep machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety hazards or concerns.
- Complete all necessary documentation for internal or external use.
- Effectively work with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.
- All other duties as assigned.
