Summary / Objective

The technical operations engineer is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining mission critical infrastructure which requires advanced level Linux server administration, scripting, and configuration management in a 24 / 7 environment. This role requires proactively monitoring all aspects of the platform including hardware, network, and software and being able to respond quickly and effectively to any issues.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor all aspects of the platform including hardware, network, and software
• Identify, respond to and resolve incidents quickly and efficiently
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems spanning servers, networks, and applications
• Plan, schedule, and deploy upgrades to infrastructure (hardware and software)
• Maintain a secure operating environment by adhering to established standards
• Propose, participate in and lead projects to support explosive business growth
• Propose and work on automation projects to drive operational efficiencies
• Participate in the on-call rotation to support the 24 / 7 environment

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. This position will also participate in on-call rotation which will be 2 weeks of primary and 2 weeks of secondary. This is offering 24 / 7 support for the platform during these rotations. Typically, this is 4 out of every 8 weeks.
