Job description

Our client is seeking a SAP DataSphere / Business Data Cloud Architect to lead architecture, integration, and design using SAP DataSphere and SAP Business Data Cloud -

The role is responsible for architecting, integrating, and implementing enterprise analytics and data platform solutions using SAP DataSphere and SAP Business Data Cloud. It operates as a lead technical consultant, directing and providing thought leadership on scalable, secure, and sustainable data architectures. This position directly impacts enterprise decision-making by enabling data-driven business operations and supporting organizational objectives.

Initial contract goes till end of March . Can be remote but must work within Canada in PST. 37.5 hours/week.

Must Haves

Proven consulting experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale reporting and analytics solutions using SAP DataSphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, and SAP BW Bridge
Deep expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), analytics solutions, and enterprise reporting
Ability to lead functional solution design, translating complex requirements into standards-aligned architectures with cloud-based data sources
Hands-on experience collaborating on data integration, semantic layers, and virtualization strategies with technical teams and business stakeholders
Minimum 9 years of experience delivering reporting, analytics, or business intelligence solutions in large, complex enterprise environments

Nice to Have

Experience supporting solution development through technical guidance and code reviews
Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and dashboard implementation
Performance optimization and tuning of data models and analytic workloads
Background in documenting solution architectures and operational procedures
Technical mentorship or advisory experience to internal teams

Responsibilities

Design and implement analytics and data architecture solutions using SAP DataSphere and SAP Business Data Cloud
Lead integration, data modeling, and data flow strategies across SAP platforms and cloud data sources
Translate business requirements into end-to-end architecture, including models, semantic layers, and process flows
Develop and present solution designs and technical architecture recommendations
Optimize data models and reporting workloads for performance and scalability
Oversee and review development work to ensure quality, security, and alignment with standards
Document architecture diagrams, technical design documents, and standard operating procedures
