The role in a nutshell
Ready to make an impact? As Director, Media and External Relations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the public image and reputation of Glencore Canada. You will act as the official bilingual spokesperson and be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media and external relations strategies to enhance our visibility and engagement with key stakeholders across the country. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Affairs, you will be responsible for delivering an all-encompassing media and external relations program in both official languages that enhances and protects our reputation. You will make our messages clear and effective and advance Glencore’s public profile.
This is a senior-level communications position requiring comprehensive media relations, strategic communications, and exemplary writing skills. It is a permanent full-time role that requires proficiency in both English and French, and a balance of creativity and accuracy. Glencore values work-life balance; however, occasional extended or non-traditional hours may be required to accommodate time zone differences and / or meet deadlines.
