Job description

What you’ll do:

This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives designed to drive store sales and enhance awareness of the Co-op Value Proposition. The role works collaboratively across teams to implement campaigns, manage communications, and support community engagement efforts while ensuring brand consistency and effective use of marketing resources.
  • Coordinate and support marketing initiatives, including advertising, promotions, and in-store media (TV ads, emails, newsletters)
  • Maintain brand consistency by providing creative support across all communications and materials
  • Manage internal and external communications, including team member support and guest-facing messaging
  • Monitor and respond to social media platforms in a timely manner to maintain a consistent brand voice and build trust
  • Track and analyze marketing performance, customer insights, and competitor trends; create reports to support decision-making
  • Research new ideas, products, and opportunities to enhance marketing strategies and programs
  • Coordinate community engagement initiatives, including events, sponsorships, donations, and programs (., Kids Club)
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and attending community events across the trading area
  • Coordinate and distribute promotional materials for various locations, including ordering and logistics
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improvement and support execution of initiatives
  • Provide administrative support, including processing claims, invoices, and documentation
  • Support ongoing projects and additional assignments as required
  • Travel within the trading area to support locations, events, and community initiatives

Who you are:

We are seeking a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a strong willingness to learn and grow. Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in Business, with a focus on Marketing, is preferred, along with 1–3 years of experience in a marketing-related role. However, we welcome candidates who bring an equivalent combination of relevant education and practical experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork)

  • Professional, people-first, Guest experience skills

  • Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Quality communication skills

  • Commitment to ongoing development in the industry

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Drone license considered an asset

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Social Media Platforms

  • Proficient with Canva, Excel, Microsoft Office

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. We encourage candidates with a blend of relevant experience and/or education to apply. The role involves travel between locations within our trading area, as well as occasional travel outside the trading area for business needs, as required
