As a Communications Manager you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic communication plans and delivering high-impact events that strengthen brand presence and drive engagement across Canada. This role oversees a team of specialists and collaborates closely with Regional Marketing Specialists and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of national and regional initiatives in support of our franchisees.

Daily Road of a Communications Manager

• Partner with AVP Marketing and Communications in developing, implementing, and reporting on strategic communication and event plans that support organizational goals.
• Manage day-to-day communications priorities, including media relations, crisis / issues management, and proactive brand-building efforts.
• Provide strategic direction to the Communications Specialist and ensure alignment with Global and Regional Marketing & Communications objectives.
• Support development and implementation of PR and brand communication programs to strengthen reputation and promote innovation.
• Draft high-quality written materials, including press releases, Q&A documents, and event-related messaging.
• Build and maintain strong media relationships; identify proactive opportunities for media coverage and brand storytelling.
• Oversee the development and execution of social media plans and content calendars in partnership with the Social Media Strategist.
• Lead internal communication strategy, serving as senior editor and content creator for intranet and employee engagement platforms.
• Collaborate with employee groups and cross-functional teams to deliver creative communication solutions that drive alignment and engagement.
• Oversee planning and execution of major national and regional events, including conferences, corporate & franchisee team meetings, and industry activations.
• Manage vendor relationships, including PR agencies, digital partners, translation services, social media analytics providers, and event vendors.
• Serve as a key liaison with IT to ensure effective integration of communication tools and event platforms.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and ROI reporting for continuous improvement.
