Job Description :

We are seeking a full-time manufacturing engineer to join our team on-site in Waterloo, Canada. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the manufacturability, scalability, and reliability of complex systems that integrate electronics (FPGA & Analog / RF), optoelectronics (lasers, photodetectors), and optical components (fiber optics). This role requires hands-on experience with mid-volume (1,000s) manufacturing and collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

Key responsibilities :

• Lead Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) efforts for enterprise-class products.
• Work closely with R&D and production teams to optimize electronics, optoelectronics, and optical systems for manufacturing.
• Develop and implement cost-reduction and reliability improvement strategies.
• Manage relationships with OEMs, ODMs, and manufacturing partners to streamline production.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (Mil-Std-Class desirable).
• Collaborate on supply chain management to optimize component sourcing and logistics.
