Determines the process and methods required for new program parts
Create PFEMA’s and Process Flowcharts
Create Process Books (includes Draft Op Instruction, Pkg Instruction, BOM Sheet)
Participates in cross functional APQP meetings, providing due dates for various tasks appliable to Corporate Manufacturing Engineering from start of program to launch.
Create conceptual layouts for facility (plant) and work cells
Liaison with Customers on Packaging Requirements
Perform cost analysis on packaging requirements.
Review capacity and floorspace requirements for all facilities on new model programs
Create / Update Production Routings in CMS (Applicable to facilities to have CMS System)
Requirements :
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical design in an automotive manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (metal forming, welding, e-coat)
Practical knowledge of GD&T with the capacity to communicate requirements
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering and / or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Design & Analysis
