Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as Operations Manager Trainee.

P&H Grain The P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario and Quebec.

Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users.

As a full-service agri-retailer, we provide farming communities with a full range of quality crop input products and agronomic solutions, encompassing crop protection products, certified seeds, nutrients, and custom applications.

Your role focuses on developing leadership, operational understanding, and communication skills through a blended training approach, including personal mentorship, on-the-job training, e-learning modules, virtual sessions and webinars.

What You’ll Learn The successful candidate will gain experience and exposure in areas such as: Inventory management Shipping, receiving and logistics Facility maintenance and equipment Quality control and audits Grain procurement and customer service Risk management and compliance Health and food safety Leadership development What We’re Looking For Minimum 2 years’ experience participating in the operation of a grain elevator, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities Working knowledge of the grain industry including grading, elevator equipment and processes, and effective product storage Practical experience in mechanical repair and maintenance Proven ability to work in a team environment, with demonstrated leadership abilities Proficient computer skills with an aptitude for learning and adapting to new software Ability to travel as needed Willingness and ability to relocate if an opportunity arises We thank all applicants, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
