Job description

Your Opportunity:

Rocky Mountain House has an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Aide in their Acute Care. In this role, the Health Care Aide provides patient care services as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team environment, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. You will participate in the delivery of quality patient care by assisting with basic personal care and hygiene, mobilizing and transferring, patient nutrition, feeding, changing linens, gathering equipment, restocking, and portering patients and supplies as necessary. You will demonstrate genuine interest and respect for patients and utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide direct patient and family centered care. New graduate HCAs will be considered. Rocky Mountain House is located 1 hour west of Red Deer along the North Saskatchewan River. One statement that could describe Rocky Mountain House is “recreational playground”. To the west, there is a vast recreational area with scenic hiking, sight-seeing and camping opportunities. There are many lakes, rivers and streams in the area. Our multicultural community has a small town feel with big city amenities nearby. The traffic jams, lineups, and other annoyances that come with larger centres do not happen here. Rocky Mountain House has a friendly, vibrant feel that includes a welcoming team to assist newcomers in feeling welcome and included. Despite its size, Rocky Mountain House is fortunate to offer a wide spectrum of services to its trading area of 21,000 people.
