for the position of
Translator
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation is seeking the services of an individual to serve as Translator. This is a unionized position.
The Translator is responsible for the translation of internal documents developed in English into French in accordance with the OSSTF / FEESO style guide and industry standards. This position will report directly to the Associate General Secretary, Professional Services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not listed in order of priority)
- Translate documents from English to French and occasionally from French to English
- Proofreading documentation
- Conduct terminology research and maintain the terminology database.
- Keep up with organizational and industry policies and procedures.
- Assist from time to time with special projects.
- Performs other appropriate duties related to translation, or as may be assigned from time to time.
