We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Food Production Supervisor – Processing & Packaging for one of our valued clients in the food manufacturing sector. Position Summary
The Food Production Supervisor will manage daily production activities within a food processing and packaging facility, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational knowledge and a passion for developing teams and improving processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily production operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
- Achieve production targets while upholding strict safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Supervise and mentor production operators and technicians to ensure high performance
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with senior leadership on operational planning and support process improvement initiatives
- Identify and implement productivity enhancements and cost reduction strategies
- Assist in managing vendor and supplier relationships as needed
- Develop and maintain effective training programs to support staff growth and development
Qualifications
5–7 years of supervisory or operations management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food, bakery, or meat processingStrong leadership, organizational, and team-building skillsIn-depth understanding of production processes, safety regulations, and quality assurance systemsExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologiesProficient in Microsoft Office and ERP / MRP systemsExcellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesPost-secondary education in Operations Management, Engineering, or related fields is an assetWhat We Offer
