The technical publications team is responsible for the creation and upkeep of Pratt and Whitney Canada’s documentation used for the operation, upkeep, maintenance and overhaul of the entire suite of P&WC products (Turbofans, Turboprops, Turboshafts and Auxiliary Power Units).
We strive to provide the highest quality documentation providing our customers with clear instructions confirming to ATA and S1000D industry standards.
Assembly, disassembly, testing, cleaning, fault isolation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, configuration control, hands on validation – there are many aspects of maintain and operating P&WC’s products. With such wide coverage the candidate will interact will many teams in different areas of the organization.
This role is primarily onsite, with as needed flexibility in work hours.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and specifications for P&WC products' maintenance and overhaul manuals.

Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for various audiences.

Create and include technical illustrations, diagrams, and schematics to improve understanding of maintenance and overhaul procedures.

Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements, company guidelines, and safety standards.

Conduct usability testing and collect feedback from end-users to improve the quality and effectiveness of P&WC’s manuals.

Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy standards.

College degree in design and drafting or, AME certification.

Must be able to obtain CGD clearance in Canada.

Excellent communication skills.

Sound gas turbine engine knowledge.

Solid computer skills (MS Suite and 3D/2D CAD software).

Familiarity with SGML or XML writing is a plus.
