The technical publications team is responsible for the creation and upkeep of Pratt and Whitney Canada’s documentation used for the operation, upkeep, maintenance and overhaul of the entire suite of P&WC products (Turbofans, Turboprops, Turboshafts and Auxiliary Power Units).
We strive to provide the highest quality documentation providing our customers with clear instructions confirming to ATA and S1000D industry standards.
Assembly, disassembly, testing, cleaning, fault isolation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, configuration control, hands on validation – there are many aspects of maintain and operating P&WC’s products. With such wide coverage the candidate will interact will many teams in different areas of the organization.
This role is primarily onsite, with as needed flexibility in work hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and specifications for P&WC products' maintenance and overhaul manuals.
Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for various audiences.
Create and include technical illustrations, diagrams, and schematics to improve understanding of maintenance and overhaul procedures.
Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements, company guidelines, and safety standards.
Conduct usability testing and collect feedback from end-users to improve the quality and effectiveness of P&WC’s manuals.
Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy standards.
Required Job Qualifications:
College degree in design and drafting or, AME certification.
Must be able to obtain CGD clearance in Canada.
Excellent communication skills.
Sound gas turbine engine knowledge.
Solid computer skills (MS Suite and 3D/2D CAD software).
Familiarity with SGML or XML writing is a plus.

Nous nous efforçons de fournir une documentation de la plus haute qualité, offrant à nos clients des instructions claires conformes aux normes industrielles ATA et S1000D.
Assemblage, démontage, tests, nettoyage, isolation des pannes, maintenance planifiée et non planifiée, contrôle de configuration, validation pratique – il existe de nombreux aspects liés à l'entretien et à l'exploitation des produits de P&WC. Avec une couverture aussi large, le candidat interagira avec de nombreuses équipes dans différents domaines de l'organisation.
Ce rôle est principalement sur site, avec une flexibilité des horaires de travail selon les besoins.
Responsabilités clés:
Collaborer avec des équipes multidisciplinaires pour recueillir des informations techniques et des spécifications pour les manuels de maintenance et de révision des produits P&WC.
Traduire des informations techniques complexes en une documentation claire, concise et conviviale pour divers publics.
Créer et inclure des illustrations techniques, des diagrammes et des schémas pour améliorer la compréhension des procédures de maintenance et de révision.
Veiller à ce que toute la documentation respecte les exigences réglementaires, les directives de l'entreprise et les normes de sécurité.
Effectuer des tests d'utilisabilité et recueillir les commentaires des utilisateurs finaux pour améliorer la qualité et l'efficacité des manuels de P&WC.
Gérer plusieurs projets, respecter les délais et maintenir des standards élevés de précision.
Diplôme universitaire en conception et dessin ou certification AME.
Doit être en mesure d'obtenir une habilitation CGD au Canada.
Excellentes compétences en communication.
Bonnes connaissances des moteurs à turbine à gaz.
Compétences informatiques solides (suite MS et logiciels de CAO 3D/2D).
