In this role, you will support stakeholders in defining and prioritizing the backlog while ensuring that business needs are clearly understood by delivery teams. If you are a structured and detail-oriented individual with the ability to organize work, plan follow-ups, and maintain clear documentation to reduce ambiguity and facilitate solution delivery, CGI offers you an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the success of our clients. Work Mode: Hybrid Location: Montreal

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate in defining the vision, strategic direction, and objectives of projects
  • Continuously manage the backlog by helping define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog
  • Ensure the team has a clear understanding of the product backlog, enabling them to produce the technical requirements documentation needed by development teams
  • Help define, scope, and adjust project deliverables and release strategies based on evolving business contexts and objectives
  • Serve as a key point of reference for developers and analysts regarding all business requirements-related questions
  • Collaborate across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment between scope and planning activities, including project plans, budgets, risk identification and mitigation, issue resolution, communications, and change management
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and other recurring meetings required to ensure the smooth execution of the project (e.g., various weekly meetings)
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including project managers, architects, developers, functional analysts, and integrators
  • Understand the changes introduced by initiatives and thoroughly identify their impacts on people, processes, data, and systems
  • Engage and mobilize stakeholders while demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Expertise in the insurance and financial services industry will be considered an asset
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Information Technology or in a similar role
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating autonomy
  • Experience with application system enhancement projects involving multiple business functions will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of BPMN standards and the ability to apply them using available tools (e.g., Viadee)
  • Knowledge of Scrum methodology
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills
  • Knowledge of cloud environments will be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills in French (spoken and written) and functional proficiency in English
