Job Description :
We are looking for a Senior IT Technical Business Analyst to support complex, multi-initiative programs within a large healthcare and regulated environment. The role involves advanced business analysis, technical requirements management, and solution support across system modernization, process improvements, and digital platform enhancements.
The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical specifications and aligned with operational and technical constraints.
Roles & Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements :
Lead requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and documentation
Analyze business processes, workflows, and use cases
Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications
Assess new technology or service requests and evaluate operational impacts
Support project planning activities including estimates, schedules, and task coordination
Technical Evaluation & Solution Support
Research and assess emerging technologies relevant to assigned initiatives
Review existing systems and recommend improvement or modernization strategies
Support proof-of-concept initiatives and production rollouts
Contribute to solution designs, technical documentation, and test plans
Assist in identifying hardware and software requirements
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders
Quality, Governance & Change Management
Ensure quality standards during solution implementation
Follow approved change and release management processes
Communicate operational policies and procedures
Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; recommend mitigation strategies
Track deliverables, timelines, and status reports
Preferred Skills :
Experience in healthcare, public sector, or regulated industries
Exposure to digital health platforms or enterprise systems
Experience working with senior leadership and technical teams
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications :
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst
Strong experience in requirements elicitation and technical documentation
Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Knowledge of Canadian health information legislation (e.g., Health Information Act or equivalent)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
