Job Title: Ironworker or Field Welder

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Ironworkers who are versatile and adaptable to work on various stages of projects, including site mobilization, steel erection, bolt-up, and finishing tasks. The ideal candidate should have the flexibility to work at multiple sites and be willing to travel out of town. The projects mainly include commercial, institutional, and infrastructure developments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site mobilization and prepare for daily tasks.
• Engage in steel erection, bolt-up, and miscellaneous metal finishing.
• Work collaboratively with a team to address health and safety hazards.
• Adapt to different project requirements and site-specific orientations.
• Communicate effectively with the safety department for orientation and safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Must be a 2nd-year apprentice Ironworker or higher.
• Possess valid AWP and Fall Protection certifications.
• Hold CSTS and WHMIS certifications.
• Demonstrated experience in bolt-up and connector tasks.
• Experience in commercial, infrastructure, or institutional construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2nd year apprentice Ironworker to Journeyman level preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial experience.
• Strong layout and blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol or criminal record checks for specific projects.

Work Environment

In-town work is scheduled from Monday to Friday with a mix of 9-hour and 8-hour days, totaling 44-50 hours per week, with overtime after 44 hours. Safety orientations and communication are paramount to ensure a secure and productive work environment.

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $47.00/hr.
