Site Manager
Location: Northern British Columbia
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day performance at a high-availability facility supporting large-scale compute infrastructure. This role is ideal for a leader who understands how complex electrical, mechanical, and facility systems work together and who can guide technical teams to operate them safely, reliably, and to standard.
This is not a tools-in-hand engineering role. It's a leadership and oversight position requiring strong operational judgment, the ability to challenge technical teams, and the confidence to lead incident response, risk management, and site-level decision-making.
Candidates with data center experience are encouraged to apply, but we also welcome leaders from mission-critical environments such as utilities, oil & gas, hospitals, industrial facilities, or other 24/7 operations.
This is a full time position based at site in Northern British Columbia. Local candidates are preferred, however we will also consider strong candidates across thcountry that are open to relocating for the position. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Site & Operational Leadership
Serve as the senior operational leader for a 24/7 mission-critical facility.
Provide direction to electrical, mechanical, facilities, and technical support teams.
Act as the escalation point for complex technical or operational issues.
Translate technical challenges into clear operational and business impacts.
Support ongoing site expansion, upgrades, and capacity increases.
Critical Infrastructure Oversight
Oversee the performance of electrical and mechanical systems, including:
o Power distribution and backup systems
o Cooling and environmental controls
o Building management and monitoring systems
Ensure all systems operate within design parameters, risk tolerances, and uptime expectations.
Review and approve maintenance strategies, procedures, and schedules.
Lead readiness for equipment installations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
Incident Response & Risk Management
Lead site-level response to abnormal conditions, outages, or technical incidents.
Direct root-cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Identify systemic risks and reliability concerns across operations.
Ensure lessons learned are documented and shared across teams.
People Leadership & Culture
Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary technical teams.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Ensure clear shift coverage, communication, and ownership across the site.
Represent the site with professionalism and visible leadership.
Safety, Compliance & Governance
Ensure safe work practices across all electrical, mechanical, and technical
operations.
