Primary purpose is to provide leadership, direction, and management of the summer camp program, camp events and guest groups needs. This position requires delivering a high-quality camp experience that is fun and intentional , holding to our mission and values. We desire to promote passing faith on to the next generation by building and investing in leaders, strengthening families, and growing kids. As the Program Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting and facilitating the spiritual growth of our program staff. You will oversee the operational and logistical aspects of our ministry programs throughout the year, ensuring that they align with our mission and values. Additionally, you will coordinate hospitality services and activities to create memorable experiences for our guests while providing excellent customer service.Responsibilities : Provide operational and logistical support for family and children's ministry programs during both summer and non-summer months.Collaborate with all operations teams to plan, organize, and execute programs for guest groups.Develop training programs for full-time and summer staff to ensure effective ministry execution in family ministries.Serve as the primary camp host, participating in the preparation of camp for guests and ensuring a warm welcome upon arrival.Support and manage summer camp ministry staff, providing guidance and leadership in accordance with our mission.Establish and enforce childcare standards to create safe and effective ministry environments.Stay informed about current trends and research in ministry practices to enhance program effectiveness.Coordinate summer children and youth ministry activities and events.Participate in after-hours on-call support for onsite guests.Oversee the maintenance and development of all recreation amenities, ensuring safety and quality.Update and implement recreation procedures and policies as needed.Conduct regular inspections of recreation amenities and equipment, reporting any deficiencies promptly.Manage inventory of AV equipment and coordinate setup for guest groups.Communicate maintenance needs to facilities management for timely resolution. We recognize a skilled candidate has an earning potential that exceeds the base allowance. At Joy Bible Camp, we encourage personal support salary fundraising up to 50% above the base salary offer. All donors will receive a tax receipt for contributions made. Our support will include providing stationery, advice and supplementary appeals.
