A variety of work is available : Memory care, palliative care, light housework and laundry, planning delicious and nutritious meals, social and medical outings, bathing, dressing, walking, safety supervision, recreation, simulation for memory and companionship. Specific job descriptions are varied and personalized for the individual need such as : - Companionship- Toileting- Directing - Engaging in conversations - Work independently, assist clients with medical and social outings - Support with activities of personal care and daily living - Assist with rehabilitation Essential Skills - some are provided if you need : - Minimum 6 months of experience and / or training in care preferably in working with adults who have brain injuries, both cognitive and physical impairment - An understanding of the needs of adults with a cognitive and physical impairment who are vulnerable within society - Own transportation is an asset - Languages : Proficiency to Speak English, Read English, Write English - Security and Safety : Bondable, Medical Clearance, Criminal Clearance, Legally able to work in Canada - First Aid, CP- WHIMIS - Workplace Harassment and Violence - Reliable clean car and drivers abstract - Demonstrate the ability to relate professionally and respectfully to people with physical disabilities - Good verbal and written communication skills - Community Health Care certification - BC Care Registry number - Medical Clearance (TB) - Criminal Clearance Working with others as a valuable team member, as well as able to work independently, decision making, dress respectably, be respectful of the owner's property and decision making, communicate effectively.
