Job description
Now Hiring: Structural Welders (Day & Night Shifts Available)

Locations: Edmonton or Nisku, Alberta
Pay Rate: $36.00 per hour (plus an additional $3.00/hr differential for night shift crews)

Schedules:
Day Crew: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with early finishes on Friday (6:30 AM to 2:45 PM).
Night Crew: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 3:30 AM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!).

About the Opportunity:
Are you an experienced welding professional ready to fuse heavy steel for some of the most monumental industrial and commercial builds in Western Canada? We are partnering with a premier, high-volume structural steel fabrication facility in search of elite welders. Your work will directly support the construction of massive infrastructure, ranging from sprawling airport expansions to towering residential high-rises and massive sports arenas. We offer unparalleled career stability with a guaranteed backlog of high-tonnage projects running straight through 2027. If you demand perfection in your weld beads and want to leave a lasting mark on city skylines, drop your hood with us!

Advantages
Maximum Earning Power: Take advantage of highly accessible overtime opportunities. If you want to boost your income and hit those big financial milestones, the extra hours are here for the taking.

Bulletproof Job Stability: Forget the stress of seasonal layoffs. We have secured a massive portfolio of heavy industrial and commercial contracts, guaranteeing you consistent, uninterrupted work well beyond the year 2027.

Rapid Hiring Process: We respect your time and skills. Our accelerated onboarding process cuts out unnecessary delays, ensuring you get onto the shop floor and start earning paychecks as fast as possible.

Uncompromising Safety Culture: Work in a supportive, team-first environment where your physical well-being is the top priority. We actively eliminate hazards and foster a workplace built on mutual respect and safety.

Mentorship & Growth: This is an incredible environment for driven 2nd and 3rd-year welding apprentices. You will gain invaluable, hands-on experience in heavy manufacturing, leveling up your skills by working shoulder-to-shoulder with industry veterans.

Responsibilities
Flawless Execution: Perform heavy, multi-pass welds on substantial carbon steel structural elements. You will be fusing everything from colossal support columns and heavy I-beams to intricate, custom-fabricated structural components.

Code Compliance: Guarantee that every single weld you lay down meets exact blueprint specifications, aligns perfectly with CWB regulations, and passes our stringent, in-house quality control inspections with flying colors.

Equipment Mastery: Utilize a blend of standard manual welding gear and highly advanced automated systems. (Never used a welding robot? Don't worry—we provide full, on-the-job training for all high-tech machinery).

Team Coordination: Communicate effectively with steel fitters, crane operators, and management. Teamwork is essential to maneuver massive steel sections safely and keep the fabrication line moving without bottlenecks.

Safety & Housekeeping: Champion a safe work environment by strictly following all internal safety guidelines, keeping your welding bay organized, and actively identifying potential hazards before they become issues.

Qualifications
Experience & Education: We are actively hunting for veteran Journeyperson Welders, but we also have a huge appetite for motivated 2nd and 3rd-year apprentices who are hungry to prove themselves.

Essential Certifications: You absolutely must possess active and valid CWB FCAW (Flux-Cored) tickets for All Positions. This is a hard requirement for the role.

Industry Background: Demonstrated past experience welding in a heavy industrial setting, large-scale commercial fabrication shop, or similar structural steel manufacturing environment.

Professional Attitude: We need reliable professionals who show up on time for every shift, bring a rock-solid work ethic to the floor, and collaborate seamlessly with the rest of the shop crew.

Summary
Ready to Join the Crew?
If you want to elevate your trade within a high-output, secure fabrication shop that builds skyline-defining structures, we need to see your resume today. Spots for this long-term project are filling up fast!
