Reporting to the Director, Nuclear Maintenance. This position provides leadership and alignment for all activities related to project planning, execution, delivery and closeout. This position is the primary point of contact to ensure a consistent, deliberate, and clear methodology is used for key decisions, and advancement of deliverables the scope of work.
What You'll Do Here:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Prepare short and long term projections and forecasts for identified projects
- Prepare project revenue targets and budgets and update as required
- Responsible for the development of business opportunities as they apply to the account.
- Facilitate a first hand business relationship with customers at decision-making levels.
PROPOSAL AND ESTIMATING
- Establish strategies for success of proposals.
- Participation and understanding of the final proposal pricing.
- Participation in the preparation and delivery of all proposal documents.
- Risk analysis, including review of Terms and Conditions, pre-bid recommendation forms, PRC and chairing pre-bid meetings.
- Participation in the negotiation of the proposal towards award.
PROJECT EXECUTION
- Identification of threats to project delivery and establishment of suitable counter measures.
- Establish resources required to execute projects.
- Facilitate project turnover meetings and foster information exchange from proposal team.
- Select the management and supervision team to execute the projects.
- Ultimate responsibility for the execution of the work in terms of safety, project management strategies, schedule, cost, manpower and client communications.
- Total responsibility for financial, accounting, reporting associated with the project.
- Post job analysis of all major projects.
- Responsible for management of claims to their ultimate settlement.
- Manage construction work package planning
- Managing all project coordination aspects
- Manage project delivery
- Informal safety inspections as per Red Book training
- Provide supervisory guidance to project personnel
- Preparation of succession plans
- Ensure that all employees are fully trained for the function they are expected to fulfill
What You Bring To The Team:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field with a focus on nuclear construction
- Minimum 5 years of nuclear industry experience
- Business development & commercial knowledge
- Experience in N286 and ISO 9001 Quality execution projects
- Experience in planning and executing EPC projects
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience within the nuclear industry.
- Negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving and organizational skills
- Planning and organizational talent to facilitate desired outcome
- Multiple Project Management delivery models for project execution
- Previous experience with managing consortium partners
- Computer Skills
Reason for vacancy: Replacement
Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
