Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented professional looking to advance your career in business administration and international trade? We are currently seeking a highly skilled Customs Specialist to join our client's dynamic team. In the rapidly evolving landscape of global logistics, the role of a Customs Specialist is more critical than ever. This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the intricacies of cross-border trade, ensuring that goods move seamlessly while adhering to all regulatory frameworks. As a Customs Specialist, you will be at the forefront of the supply chain, acting as a pivotal link between businesses and regulatory bodies. The successful Customs Specialist will be responsible for navigating the complex web of trade compliance, minimizing risks, and maximizing efficiency for the organization. Your expertise in business administration will be put to the test as you manage high volumes of data, ensure the accuracy of documentation, and maintain meticulous records of all customs transactions. This role is not just about processing paperwork; it is about strategic business administration, where your analytical skills and attention to detail will directly impact operational success.

Furthermore, you will interact with a variety of critical stakeholders, including the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), various vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and Other Government Departments such as CFIA, NRCan, Transport Canada, Environment Canada, and Health Canada. Your ability to foster strong relationships and communicate effectively with all department employees and clients will be paramount to your success in the manufacturing & logistics industry.

Regarding language requirements for this position: Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills in English are strongly required to effectively interact with stakeholders, external vendors, and ensure compliance with complex government regulations. Strong English proficiency is the primary language requirement for this specific location to ensure seamless communication with both external and internal clients on all operational inquiries and regulatory reviews.

As a leading professional in this field, your daily activities will directly support the broader goals of the manufacturing & logistics function, ensuring that all import and export activities are executed flawlessly and without delay. You will be a cornerstone of the compliance and operations team, relying on your extensive regulatory knowledge to guide important decisions and provide expert advice. We are looking for someone who is not only a technical expert in customs brokerage but also a proactive problem-solver who can anticipate supply chain challenges and implement effective solutions before they escalate into costly delays.
