ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT :

The Quality Assurance Inspector supports the Remanufacturing and Repair Centre in inspection and reporting requirements to ensure adherence to quality standards.

MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Complete all quality assurance incoming in process incomplete and final inspections required
• Ensures all repairs / tasks are done in accordance with specifications using applicable checklists
• Perform NonDestructive Testing (NDT) as required
• Completes all necessary inspection reports and documents related to the Quality Management System including the prevention detection and disposition of nonconforming items
• Ensure calibration of measuring and testing equipment is updated as per requirements.
• Instrumental in setting QA metrics and generating QA documentation
• Completes necessary administrative duties associated with the QA program including computer system entries reporting and charting
• May be required to alter start time or rest days to meet objectives established or required by the Quality Management System
• Travel to Cochrane or other ONTC locations to inspect and calibrate equipment
• Adhere to policies standards and requirements
• Adapts to new methods processes material and equipment and all other work generally recognized as QA Inspector work
• Follow prescribed safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment
• Attend training as required and support on the job training for fellow QA inspectors
• Current shift schedules : Monday to Friday 8 : 00 a.m. 4 : 00 p.m. or Monday to Thursday 12 : 00 p.m. 10 : 00 p.m. Work schedules are subject to change based on operational needs.
