Responsibilities
- As the Facility Building Operations and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance support of the Calgary Police Service (CPS) facilities, including on-going reactive maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance. The position also provides leadership, technical expertise and overall direction to this Facilities Building Operations & Safety Section. Primary duties include :
- Prepare long-term business plans and develop annual goals and objectives for each section.
- Conduct meetings with clients on facilities support needs & support the work order system.
- Write procurement documents and prepare business cases.
- Review the budget on a monthly basis with each team.
- Monitor facilities related service contracts and initiate new and replacement contracts as required.
- Approve purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts and tenders related to the maintenance of CPS facilities.
- Coach, mentor, and performance manage employees and support the hiring process.
- Support, review and monitor facilities related projects.

Compensation : Level M2 $130,400 - 163,000 per annum
Days of Work : This position works a 5 day work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work : Standard 35 hour work week
