At Red Barn Winery, part of the Iconic Wineries of British Columbia, we are dedicated to crafting memorable guest experiences that reflect our passion for wine, hospitality, and connection. Our team delivers exceptional service in a welcoming environment, where every interaction reflects the artistry and excellence behind our wines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Ambassador to join our team at Red Barn Winery. This role combines hospitality, sales, and leadership in support of our Guest Experience Manager. The ideal candidate is confident, proactive, and service-driven, with the ability to inspire both guests and team members alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences through warm hospitality, storytelling, and service at the tasting bar and tableside.
  • Lead by example on the floor, supporting and motivating the ambassador team.
  • Act as a liaison to the GE Manager, providing day-to-day guidance and stepping in to assist with leadership responsibilities when needed.
  • Drive wine sales and wine club growth through effective guest engagement, relationship-building, and confident communication.
  • Support Wine Club administration, including outreach, processing, and assisting members with their needs.
  • Utilize winery systems including C7 and TOCK to manage reservations, guest flows, and sales.
  • Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and professionalism across all touchpoints.
  • Proactively anticipate needs, take initiative, and require little direction to manage tasks effectively.
  • Embody a “service heart” by creating memorable, meaningful guest interactions that reflect the values of Red Barn Winery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality, tasting rooms, or retail service (wine industry experience an asset).
  • Familiarity with C7 and TOCK platforms is an asset.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and Wine Club sign-ups through confident, guest-centered interactions.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential with experience in team captain, lead, or entry-level supervisory roles.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to adapt and take charge in dynamic situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with guests, members, and team members.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and confident working independently while supporting team goals.
  • Passion for wine, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Why Join Us?
