Job Summary :
We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Building Services Designer or Technician to support the planning, design, and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial, educational, and institutional / municipal buildings. This role involves working with a team of engineers and project managers to ensure building systems are functional, efficient, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and draft building services systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical services using CAD tools.
- Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for mechanical installations.
- Assist in load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
- Support the coordination of building services with architectural and structural layouts.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet project specifications and codes.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and schedules.
- Prepare sketches and diagrams as needed to assist contractors during deviations from the original design.
- Ensure designs adhere to standards such as ASHRAE and local building codes.
