Votre rôle


En tant que Technicien(ne) en génie mécanique chez Mecademic, vous êtes le pivot entre la conception et la fabrication de nos robots de haute précision. Votre mission est de transformer des concepts innovants en plans de fabrication rigoureux, de structurer les méthodes de production dans nos systèmes et d'assurer un soutien technique à la production.


Vos principales responsabilités

  • Dessin technique : Réalisation et mise à jour de plans de fabrication, incluant la cotation, les tolérances et les spécifications de matériaux.


  • Méthodes et industrialisation : Établir les gammes de fabrication et les instructions de travail (fiches d'assemblage) pour guider les opérateurs

.

  • Gestion de données : Créer et maintenir les structures de produits (BOM) et des routes de fabrication dans le système de gestion.


  • Soutien technique : Appuyer l’équipe d’ingénierie dans la validation de concepts et agir comme soutien au plancher pour la résolution de problèmes techniques en production.



Votre profil


Titulaire d'un diplôme technique (DEC) en génie mécanique, vous disposez d’une première dans un rôle similaire.

Vos compétences:

  • Logiciel : Excellente maîtrise d'Autodesk Inventor.

  • Lecture de plans : Maîtrise avancée de la lecture de plans et des normes de tolérance.

  • Expertise en outillage : Aptitude pour la conception de gabarits de montage et d'outils spécialisés visant à optimiser la production.

  • Setup et Programmation CNC: Capacité à programmer les parcours d'outils CNC et à réaliser les montages complets sur machines-outils.

  • Métrologie : Expérience pratique dans la manipulation et l'opération de machines de mesure tridimensionnelle (CMM).


Conditions du poste

👉 Poste à temps plein (40h/semaine) à pourvoir dès que possible sur notre site situé 1300, rue St-Patrick, Montréal, QC (déménagement dans nos nouveaux locaux modernes à Brossard courant 2027)

👉 Rémunération selon profil et expérience

👉 Nécessite d’être autorisé à travailler au Canada (citoyenneté, résidence permanente ou permis de travail valide)

Mecademic develops compact, precise, and innovative robotic automation solutions for the electronics and life sciences sectors. Our ultra-compact robotic arms are used worldwide by OEMs, system integrators, and end-users for tasks requiring precision and reliability in automation.

Your Role

As a Mechanical Engineering Technician at Mecademic, you will serve as the vital link between design and manufacturing for our high-precision robots. Your mission is to transform innovative concepts into rigorous manufacturing drawings, structure production methods within our systems, and provide technical support to the production team.


Your Main Responsibilities

  • Technical Drawing: Create and update manufacturing drawings, including dimensioning, tolerances (GD&T), and material specifications.


  • Methods & Industrialization: Establish manufacturing sequences and work instructions (assembly sheets) to guide production operators.


  • Data Management: Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing routes within the ERP system.


  • Technical Support: Assist the engineering team in concept validation and act as a floor support lead to resolve technical production issues.


Your Profile

You hold a technical degree (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering and have initial experience in a similar role.

Your Skills:

  • Software: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.

  • Blueprint Reading: Expert knowledge of technical drawings and tolerancing standards.

  • Tooling Expertise: Ability to design assembly jigs and specialized tools to optimize production.

  • CNC Setup & Programming: Capability to program CNC toolpaths and perform complete setups on machine tools.

  • Metrology: Practical experience operating and handling Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).


Job Conditions

👉 Full-time position (40h/week) to be filled as soon as possible at our site located at 1300, rue St-Patrick, Montreal, QC (moving to our new modern premises in Brossard in 2027).

👉 Compensation based on profile and experience.

👉 Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).
