- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution with a Professional Engineer designation
- 7-10 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, codes, standards, and equipment to the design and production of various products
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Time management skills are necessary to manage the various design projects
- Conducting oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in team environments
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
