Wood is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer who has experience supporting mining, manufacturing, and heavy industrial projects. If you are keen to grow our Industrial business in Sudbury, here is an opportunity to develop a winning team to support growth in this region.

With the support and knowledge of the Operations business, which has more than 60 years of experience in Canada, you will be part of a team delivering some of the most challenging and interesting industrial, brownfield, and multidisciplinary projects across the power, mining, and energy sectors.   • Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution with a Professional Engineer designation
  • 7-10 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, codes, standards, and equipment to the design and production of various products
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Time management skills are necessary to manage the various design projects
  • Conducting oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in team environments
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
