Job Title : Junior, Automation Technician Job Summary Work with Automation Technicians as a plant resource to assist with line improvements automation initiatives, and realignment of existing and new equipment to improve product flow. Work in conjunction with the Maintenance and Engineering departments. Responsibility
- Work with automation technicians, set up and maintenance department to reduce costs by removing non-value-added material / movement from production lines.
- Assist automation technicians, program managers and project engineers at the APQP stage of a program start-up.
- Understand and execute assigned work efficiently to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure automation projects are completed and continue to function efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
- Ensure all new / rebuild equipment complies with CSA, OSHA, and Electrical Safety Code requirements.
- Participate in PHSR requirements
- Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address failures.
- Perform scheduled backups of PLC and CNC programs.
