Job description
On behalf of our Engineering Services client, we’re looking for an Automation & Robotics Specialist to design, program, and commission custom automation and robotic systems across a wide range of industrial projects. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working hands‑on from concept to startup, this role offers variety, responsibility, and room to grow.What You’ll Do
  • Design automation and robotic solutions from concept through commissioning
  • Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control architectures
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots
  • Support machine build, integration, troubleshooting, and field commissioning
  • Collaborate with designers, electricians, trades, and clients
  • Contribute to project quoting, design reviews, and risk assessments
What You Bring
  • Degree or diploma in Automation, Controls, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 5+ years of industrial automation and controls experience
  • Hands‑on robotics experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team
Preferred Experience
  • PLCs: Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Omron
  • Robots: ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, UR
  • Vision systems and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet)

  • Compensation range of $80,000 - $110,000 dependent on experience
