Responsibilities

  • Maintains and analyzes Maintenance work orders within the CMMS to identify trends, gaps, and optimization opportunities, including monitoring issues arising from field work, assess impacts, assigning priorities to ensure timely resolution and supporting outage planning by providing asset condition insights, risk considerations, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Provides project and design support by reviewing projects to ensure that asset management principles and lifecycle considerations are fully integrated into planning and execution. Evaluates proposed design solutions with a focus on maintainability, operability, and long-term lifecycle performance, and providing informed input into equipment standards, asset strategies, and key engineering decisions.
  • Owns and administers critical spare parts to ensure availability, accuracy, and alignment with asset risk profiles. Works closely with warehouse teams to improve inventory management practices, replenishment processes, and supporting documentation to enhance reliability and operational readiness.
  • Supports Generation and Station Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scoring, tracking, and reporting processes. Develops dashboards, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate asset health, performance, and risk, and assists in the development and ongoing maintenance of asset models, risk assessments, and lifecycle forecasts.
  • Provides analytical support to long-term planning initiatives and annual budgeting processes for Generation and Station assets. Supports compliance, regulatory filings, and internal governance requirements by supplying accurate, timely, and reliable asset-related data.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure asset management practices are aligned with organizational standards and industry best practices.
  • Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties, including a driving a vehicle, which do not affect the rating of the job.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Technology in a related discipline and eligible for accreditation as an AScT through the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia.
  • Five (5) years recent, related experience.
  • Knowledge of asset management principles and real-world applications.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems operations, environment and peripherals and various applications software in use in the department (CMMS, C55, EAM Systems, SAP, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of analytical and data interpretation skills from a variety of sources, with proficiency in Excel and/or data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
