Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a Business Analyst for a full-time opportunity supporting complex sustainment planning and business case analysis (BCA) initiatives within a highly regulated environment in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, business analysis, and strategic planning.

  • Pay Rate: $100, 000 - $125, 000/year
  • Location: Ottawa, ON
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Job type: Temporary 2 years| Part-time

Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate project management activities, including financial, scheduling, contracting, and resource-related activities.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare formal Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and compliance matrices.
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and performance objectives.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Coordinate activities between project teams, internal clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities and support project decision-making processes.
  • Deliver project briefings and presentations to management and stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships across multiple business functions.

Reporting & Business Analysis

  • Track, analyze, and communicate project progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare status reports and provide ongoing project updates to leadership teams.
  • Ensure management receives timely, accurate, and actionable project information.
  • Support business case analysis, sustainment planning, and strategic review activities.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure project activities align with established governance, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Support project documentation reviews and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain project records and reporting artifacts in accordance with organizational standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in business or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business analysis, particularly supporting sustainment planning, business case analysis (BCA), or similar strategic initiatives.
  • Experience managing stakeholder engagement activities on at least two sustainment planning or BCA-related projects.
  • Strong project coordination and project management support experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in project documentation, planning, and business analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Current Secret Security Clearance, or held a Secret Clearance within the last 6 months.
  • Legally authorized to work and reside in Canada.
