Role overview : The Engineering Manager provides people leadership and technical guidance for a cross-functional team of engineers, ensuring delivery on product goals, supporting career growth, and contributing to scalability. They partner with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders to balance speed, quality, and long-term vision.

What you’ll do
- People leadership : Manage individual contributors across 2-3 squads; run 1 : 1s, feedback, reviews, growth plans
- Group execution : Plan / prioritize with Product & Design teams, sequence dependencies and keep outcomes on track
- Hands-on work (10–30%) : Review critical PRs, pair on complex designs / incidents, set standards
- Partner model : Work with the Director of Engineering (technical coaching, architecture). Tech Leads handle technical 1 : 1s / pairing inside squads
- Metrics : Improve throughput, stability and quality
