Hatch is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Student for an internship starting Fall 2026. Reporting to the Geotechnical team, you will support offices globally working from our Calgary, Alberta office location.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Working closely with our engineers, geoscientists, and designers, your primary role will be to act as a technical resource on challenging projects.
  • You will apply analytical, conceptual, research, and planning skills to support geotechnical investigations, geological characterization, and geotechnical design and analysis.
  • Candidates will be exposed to modern design tools, including 3D modeling, geotechnical analysis, and complex calculation software.
  • Work closely with experienced professional engineers and geoscientists who will provide guidance and mentoring.
  • You will gain experience in a variety of technical areas.

  • Pursuing a degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Civil Engineering.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Technical proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
