Randstad is excited to partner with an Engineering Consulting Firm in Kitchener their search for a Structural Engineer P.Eng. Our client is a multidisciplinary consulting firm and pride themsleves on quality work. The Strcutrual Engineer will design structural components of multi-disciplinary projects with the direction of an Intermediate or Senior Structural Engineer. Projects will include Institutional, Industrial, Commercial, and Residential.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning, executing and delivery of Structural Engineering projects, ensuring the project is within budget and on schedule while managing the clients’ expectations;
• Manage day-to-day client interactions, communicate effectively with clients and internal / external project teams, and continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction;
• Managing project execution by providing direction to the project team, appropriately scheduling time and acting as main point of contact between internal and external project teams;
• Develop detailed structural designs for a variety of structural engineering projects including multistory residential precast buildings, commercial and industrial building structures;

Qualifications

Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.)

Experience with technical report writing; and

Well versed and experienced in the use of 3D structural modeling software programs for multistory residential buildings. Strong knowledge of Part 4 Loading requirements as specified in OBC and NBC
