Electrical Engineer

Summary of responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Manager of the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department, the Project Lead Electrical Engineer will be part of the team dedicated to the electrical, instrumentation and control design and development for local and international mining projects. More specifically, he will be called upon to :

• Coordinate and supervise detailed engineering work.
• Participate in feasibility studies and conceptual stages of projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation for high, medium, and low-voltage generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Produce one-line diagrams, equipment specifications and control diagrams related to electrical networks, as well as calculation notes and reports.
• Prepare detailed layout plans for electrical installations.
• Prepare protection and coordination studies for electrical distribution networks.
• Coordinate the execution of electrical work on construction sites and ensure application of the quality plan.
• Supervise and verify the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical systems and equipment.
