The incumbent will oversee and support capital projects from planning through construction; review engineering designs and development applications; provide technical advice to internal departments, consultants, contractors, and the public; assist with infrastructure renewal planning; support traffic and transit-related initiatives; monitor project budgets and schedules; prepare reports and recommendations; and contribute to continuous improvements in engineering processes, documentation, and project delivery. Experience in municipal infrastructure, including roads, water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, traffic control, or related public works systems, is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship-building skills. Experience working with contractors, consultants, utility companies, government agencies, and the public is required. Proficiency with project management software and engineering project delivery processes is expected. A valid NWT Class 5 Driver's License, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
