Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
This role supports the full electrical rebuild of a three‑story multi‑family employee residence in Jasper. You will install, repair, and complete electrical systems throughout the building, including pulling wire, performing breaker tie‑ins, running conduit, and assisting with final finishing. The position offers a long‑term opportunity with strong potential for leadership growth and transition into a permanent role with a Calgary‑based employer.
Responsibilities
- Install and rebuild electrical systems for a three‑story multi‑family employee residence project in Jasper.
- Pull wire throughout the building in accordance with electrical codes and project specifications.
- Perform breaker tie‑ins safely and accurately within electrical panels and distribution equipment.
- Run and bend conduit as required, ensuring clean, code‑compliant installations.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and drawings to complete electrical layouts and installations.
- Install lighting, electrical fixtures, receptacles, and related devices during the finishing phase.
- Complete final terminations and distribution work as required to bring systems online.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to maintain system reliability.
- Support and potentially lead on‑site teams, providing guidance as a team lead or sub‑foreman when required.
- Coordinate daily tasks with other trades and project personnel to maintain schedule and quality standards.
- Operate a telehandler when needed to support electrical installation activities, in accordance with safety procedures.
- Work productively in an out‑of‑town setting for the duration of the project, remaining on site until project completion.
- Follow all safety protocols and site regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Work Environment
The project site is located in Jasper, with housing provided in rental homes near the work area. You will drive to the rental home at the start of your rotation, where parking is available for your personal vehicle. The standard shift runs from 7:00 . to 3:30 ., Monday to Friday, with overtime paid after 44 hours in a week. A daily living allowance is provided for each day you remain in town, including weekends, and an additional hourly project bonus is paid for every hour worked on the Jasper project. Travel time between your home city and the site is compensated for statutory holidays or pre‑planned vacations, with a set number of hours allocated for each trip. The work takes place on an active construction site for a multi‑family, three‑story building, using typical electrical construction tools and equipment, including conduit benders, wiring tools, and telehandlers. The environment is field‑based and hands‑on, requiring appropriate site attire and adherence to safety standards at all times.
