Job description

Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking an Electrician to join our Gananoque Team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing all electrical work within the Gananoque facility.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

  • Provide troubleshooting and support for automated manufacturing equipment operating in a regulated ISO 13485/FDA environment
  • Modify, adjust, and optimize PLC programs (Allen‑Bradley, Direct Logic, Omron, Mitsubishi) following change-control requirements
  • Diagnose complex issues with industrial sensors (Banner, Keyence, Omron) and vision systems (Keyence, Cognex).
  • Work with VFD drives and a wide range of motors including servos, steppers, induction motors, and DC brushed motors
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic systems (valves, actuators, regulators, manifolds
  • Perform precision calibration of machine components including temperature, pressure, force, speed, and position to ensure equipment accuracy and repeatability
  • Maintain and execute preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and corrective work orders using the Maximo Maintenance IT Platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and schedule compliance
  • Install and commission electrical wiring, conduit, and industrial controls to ESA and Ontario Electrical Code standards
  • Use electrical and mechanical tools and test equipment confidently, safely, and effectively
  • Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with maintenance, production, engineering, operators, supervisors, and all relevant project stakeholders to ensure alignment during repairs, downtime events, upgrades, and process changes
  • Perform mechanical tasks as required (alignments, adjustments, component replacements, mechanical diagnostics)
  • Must be able to troubleshoot circuitry as well as electronic controls and repair them
  • Responsible for seeing that all tasks are performed in a manner that complies with Cardinal’s Policies & Procedures, and all regulatory requirements

This Job might be for you if:

  • You have High School diploma or equivalent
  • 442A or 309A Electrician, Electrical Technician, or Certified Electro‑Mechanic strongly preferred
  • You preferably have experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot:PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi)Industrial sensors & vision systems (Banner, Keyence, Omron; Keyence/Cognex)VFD drives and motor control systems (DC, induction, servo, stepper)Pneumatic circuits and electro‑pneumatic controls
  • Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and precision instruments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform mechanical tasks as required
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • You are comfortable to work in 24/7 shift work environment

Anticipated hourly range: 28.60$ - 41.53$ per hour (Plus 0.84$ shift differential)
