Role Title: Electrical & Circuit Design Expert

micro1 is selection Electrical & Circuit Design Experts to contribute to a customer's project focused on advancing the capabilities of AI technologies in electrical engineering. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems.

Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required , your domain knowledge is what matters.

This is an opportunity to impact the future of engineering by ensuring that AI systems can accurately interpret, solve, and explain complex circuit design challenges across analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, and RF domains. Experts with a passion for precision, technical detail, and clear written and verbal communication will find this engagement both rewarding and influential.


Scope of Work

  1. Evaluate and solve advanced circuit design and electrical engineering problems across multiple domains, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, and RF circuits.
  2. Review and assess AI-generated technical responses for technical correctness, accuracy, and engineering quality.
  3. Apply practical engineering judgment to real-world design scenarios and theoretical questions.
  4. Analyze and troubleshoot a wide range of circuit types using industry-standard techniques such as Kirchhoff's laws, node-voltage analysis, small-signal analysis, and phasor analysis.
  5. Contribute domain expertise to inform model improvements and refine AI reasoning in electrical and circuit design.
  6. Document feedback and provide clear written and verbal explanations to enhance AI learning and performance.
  7. Collaborate remotely with a distributed team of experts and project participants.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  2. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, or RF circuit design, including participation in hardware that has reached production or tape-out.
  3. Expert knowledge of analog/mixed-signal design, digital logic, semiconductor devices, power electronics, RF/microwave systems, and control systems.
  4. Proven ability to analyze complex circuits using Thevenin equivalents, Hybrid-π models, FSMs, and timing analysis.
  5. Familiarity with semiconductor reliability concerns, EMC, and modern CMOS scaling.
  6. Professional English proficiency with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Experience with IC/ASIC design, EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics), PCB design, or high-speed digital/RF system validation is a plus.


Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.
