Our client, a Quebec-based agri-food company founded in 1994, is looking for 3 forklift operators to fill its day and evening shifts during the week.

Located in Boisbriand, in addition to being modern and fully automated, their LEED-certified plant currently employs nearly 200 people.

JOB SUMMARY :

The forklift operator is responsible for preparing and carrying out the loading of goods and ensuring the accuracy of information with the various administrative documents and the computer system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare, pick and disassemble orders;
• Check the list of goods to be shipped during the day, and take note of customer specifications;
• Operate a RAYMOND-type stand-up forklift;
• Receive and unload products and raw materials;
• Shipment of finished products, loading;
• Receive merchandise and verify accuracy of delivery slip (lots, expiration date, quantity).
• Participate in inventory taking, as required;
• Respect health and safety procedures at all times;
• Keep work area clean;
• Keep company equipment in good condition;
• Place equipment and materials on shelves;
• Ensure rotation of materials according to dates and batches.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING :

• DES or recognized equivalent
• 1 to 2 years’ experience driving RAYMOND-type forklifts
• Valid operator’s card for forklifts or lifting equipment : standing, seated or reverse driving.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Be able to lift and handle 5 to 15 kg

• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (Fridge 4°C and Freezer -20°C)
• Availability and flexibility during busy periods : overtime

• Salary starting at $22 / hour, depending on experience
