Job description

We’ve opened a role in our any of our offices for a talented, entrepreneurial Applications & Data Lead to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s IT & Workspaces group.

Pop Quiz:

  • Do you bring a computer science (or related) foundation and 10+ years leading enterprise applications and data?
  • Are you the go‑to person for turning complex data, governance, and application strategies into clear, workable frameworks?
  • Can you confidently navigate architecture frameworks, lifecycle management, and compliance requirements?
  • Have you influenced cross‑functional teams and communicated clearly at the executive level? Bonus points if TOGAF, CDMP, PMP, or AEC experience ring a bell.

If you scored four for four, JLR has a home for you! You’ll be supported by a Platinum Club member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program, firm that has a long-established reputation for quality services in multiple sectors, while you take on existing clients, develop new relationships, and deliver world-class, innovative solutions that support community building and growth in our cities.

JLR is a creative, tight-knit, and mentorship-focused community with unique opportunities for driven people with tenacity and spirit. Our organization is made up of diverse employee owners with specialized expertise in a wide range of disciplines. Joining the JLR team means joining a dynamic group of innovative architecture, engineering, and planning professionals and support staff. You’ll have the opportunity to help establish new clients and partner with existing ones to develop insightful solutions and see projects through from inception to completion.

If you’re innovative and collaborative, thrive when presented with new challenges, and are eager to take your career in new directions, then JLR is the right environment for you.

Your Role as Applications & Data Lead:

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As the Applications & Data Lead, your role will include:

  • Setting the direction by developing and evolving JLR’s enterprise applications and data strategy, governance framework, and roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensuring trust and compliance through strong data governance, enterprise architecture planning, and oversight of regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Leading operations by overseeing enterprise applications and data platforms, including lifecycle management, data pipelines, quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Partnering across the business as a subject matter expert, working closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and JLR leaders to align priorities.
  • Building capability and culture by mentoring JLR team members, managing vendors, and championing a data‑driven mindset across the organization.
