JOB DESCRIPTION

S'more about the team:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Excellence (OpEx), you will support OpEx teams in delivering continuous improvement projects across distribution center operations, from defining opportunities, data analysis, solution design, implementation and process change management. As a part of the OpEx team, you will play a key role in improving our operational quality, efficiency & waste, and help us deliver the best possible value to our customers by developing a deep understanding of our processes, data and technology.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for:

  • Drive the Operational Excellence vision of continuously improving quality, efficiency and engagement
  • Quickly understand and communicate complex processes to others
  • Take ownership of core warehouse and production processes by driving standardization and continuous improvement
  • Act as a champion of site operations, working closely with stakeholders both on the shop floor and in the office alike
  • Leverage large internal datasets to drive decisions, identify and quantify opportunities, and prioritize to deliver improvements in cost & quality
  • Support root cause and failure mode & effects analyses to mitigate risks and prevent recurring issues related to product quality, pick and pack accuracy, minute-per-box efficiency, and waste
  • Support the development and delivery of communication and change management plans to relevant stakeholders to identify and remove project implementation risks and effectively launch and sustain operational changes
  • Create standard operating procedures, work instruction documentation and other visual management tools
  • Track and provide project progress updates in the OpEx Roadmap

  • Other duties, as assigned.

Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a similar field
  • 2+ years of experience working in operations management or a related field
  • A natural curiosity to understand how different systems/processes work and a bias for action to improve them
  • A proactive and ambitious mindset: you take ownership of your work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment
  • A charismatic attitude to getting buy-in on your ideas from the design stage to implementation on the shop floor
  • Quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience), including expertise with G-Suite, Excel, and data visualization systems
  • Experience with AI tools is a plus
  • A willingness to travel within Canada up to 15% of your working time
  • You are highly interested in learning about or already have experience in: Root Cause Analysis tools: 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, 6W2H, etc. Familiarity with Lean/Business Process Mapping Basic coding and/or data visualization (e.g. SQL, Tableau). If you know how to write code and pull data, that’s awesome. If not, don’t worry as long as you have an interest in it and aptitude for learning it.
