Job description
Our valued crown corporation client is seeking a Senior Security Architect to identify security risks and control gaps for new technologies being implemented within a Platforms & Connectivity portfolio!
Initial 1 Year Contract with strong possibility of extension to a maximum total term of 3 years - minimum 1-2 days / month required on-site in Ottawa, ON.
Responsibilities :
Conduct cyber risk assessments on new and existing technical solutions to identify security risks and control gaps
Work with the technology stakeholders to explain how an assessment is performed and what information is required as part of an architecture to complete an assessment.
Review architectures / proposed technology designs to provide feedback to the technology stakeholders.
Document the cyber security design assessment of the proposed solution
Collaborate with security and technical teams to ensure security requirements and risks, including potential mitigations, are understood.
Follow up on the cyber risk assessment to its completion (end to end process).
Develop and provide guidance on repeatable security solutions (i.e., patterns).
Participate in various informational sessions as needed.
Must-Have-Skills :
5+ years of demonstrated experience in Cyber Security
Demonstrated experience working in the field of Cyber Security Architecture.
Experience with risk management and security control methodologies and frameworks (e.g., NIST -53 , NIST CSF, ISO , SOC 2).
Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud Architecture and Operations ( Azure ).
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
Demonstrated knowledge of architecting and implementing technical solutions in an enterprise environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of application security (SDLC)
